Poll

The contest opens Monday, March 19, 2012 and all entries must be received by FortisBC Inc. (“FortisBC”) by Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 4:30 pm Pacific time. By entering the contest, the contestant agrees that FortisBC may use the submission for any purpose associated with the contest or FortisBC PowerSense, including publicity and promotion.

The number of equivalent 60 watt light bulbs will be calculated based on the difference in electricity use (in kilowatt hours) from the FortisBC Cascade substation in Rossland on March 31 starting at 8:30pm as compared to one hour March 24 starting at 8:30 pm.

The person who guesses the closest number of equivalent 60 watt light bulbs will be deemed the winner. If there are two or more possible winners, the winner will be selected by random draw.  Odds of winning depend on the number of correct entries received.

The selected contestant will be notified by email by April 4. FortisBC will attempt to reach the selected contestant no more than 3 times.  If FortisBC is unable to contact him or her within 5 days of the first contact date, FortisBC may select another contestant to be eligible for the prize.

Limit one entry per person. The contestants must be FortisBC electricity customers located in the City of Rossland. Employees and contractors of FortisBC are not eligible to win.

The prize is an ENERGY STAR ® rated LED LCD TV (LG 42LV3500) valued at $500. The prize cannot be redeemed for cash.
