Fuel Spill Response at Warfield Petro-Canada
At approximately 08:47 this morning, 11 members from Station 374 (Trail) and 2 members from Station 372 (Warfield) responded to a significant fuel spill at the Warfield Petro-Canada.
The spill occurred in the alley behind the station during a fuel truck offloading operation. As a precautionary measure, crews evacuated a small area behind the station and along the adjacent frontage road.
The fuel delivery company has activated its emergency response plan and is working in coordination with emergency responders. Crews remain on scene and continue to manage the situation to ensure public safety and environmental protection.
