A report from the  Trail and District  detachment of the RCMP tells us (perhaps a bit belatedly) about a truck theft on February 11, 2016.  The owner of a red 1985 Toyota pickup truck returned to the parking lot at Red Mountain and discovered that the vehicle was no longer there.  The stolen truck had BC licence plate KB 2134, and it has not yet been found.

On February 17, 2016,  Trail & Greater District RCMP members executed a search warrant issued under the Controlled Drugs and Subtances Act at a residence located on Daniel Street in Trail.  590 Marihuana plants in various stages of growth were seized from the residence.  Two adults were arrested at the scene and police will recommend charges of Production of Marihuana and Possession of  Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking.
