This Saturday, October 4, the Rossland Public Library will be holding an open house to celebrate its 75th anniversary.

Rossland musician Sparky Steeves will be performing, we will share a birthday cake and local  author Avi Silberstein will be reading from his first novel, Human  Solutions.

In conjunction with Avi’s reading, there will be a  mystery book exchange – bring a book from home, pop it in a brown paper  wrapper, write two lines describing it and on your way home take a book  that interests you.

Many of Rossland’s Seniors visited our first library, now we have a vision of a new, revitalized library to support changing learning styles and society’s growing thirst for knowledge and entertainment. While you’re at the library, take the opportunity to view our vision and help support our dream of a revitalized library that will be a social, intellectual, and cultural center for learning and literacy in our community.

We have a beautiful building, help us revitalize the interior to be a dynamic learning environment using modern design and leading edge technology.

Please join us for an open house on October 4th from 1:00 to 5:00.
