The 14th Annual Teck Rossland Mountain Film Festival is fast approaching! This year’s event includes five days of exciting programming, including the Teck Mountain Gala and Silent Art Auction on Friday, November 15 at the Prestige Mountain Resort. Past events have raised thousands for local charities such as the BC SPCA and FAIR Society. Proceeds from this year’s Silent Art Auction will go to the Rossland Food Bank. The festival runs from November 13 – 17 at a variety of Rossland locations.

Artists are invited to contribute their work to the Silent Art Auction.  Artwork will be on display during the Gala event and available for bidding throughout the evening. The auction is a powerful showcase of the bounty of local talent in our region and is a great opportunity for local creatives to share their work and contribute to a great cause. Artists and their work will be featured on the festival’s website and social media.   For more information, please contact Mike Greene at canadianmike@gmail.com or 250-231-5763.

In other festival news, this year’s Nelson and District Credit Union Saturday Mountain Film and Party will feature the fabulous sounds of the Funk Hunters, one of Canada’s busiest electronic acts. The Funk Hunters bring their 4-turntables, high energy, and lively visuals to the festival for a mash-up of music, art, and movie-making. It’s an event not to be missed.
