Police are still searching for a 19-year-old Castlegar man (pictured here) who was last seen in the early morning hours of June 6, after a night out with friends.

Castlegar RCMP Sgt. Laurel Mathew said Zachary Larsen was reported missing Monday morning when he didn’t return home or show up at his job

“(He) was believed to be wearing jeans and a plaid shirt,” she said, adding he’s 6-foot-one-inch, about 180 pounds, has brown hair and brown eyes. “Police have received several calls on this incident.

“The latest information received is that Zachary was last seen in downtown Castlegar, heading toward the Millennium Park area at (about) 5 a.m. on June 6. At that time, he was wearing shorts and a T-shirt (colours unknown) and carrying a black re-useable bag with clothes in it.

“On June 7, Search and Rescue searched the Columbia River area, and the helicopter has also been out searching.

“On June 8, based on the information that Larsen was last seen possibly heading toward Millennium Park, Search and Rescue have again been called and will be searching that area today.

“If anyone knows the whereabouts of Larsen or had any further information, they area asked to contact the Castlegar RCMP (250-365-7721).”
