U-19 Film Fest at RSS on May 5

Columbia Power Corporation and the Nelson and District Credit Union-Rossland Branch are proud supporters of the Rossland Council for Arts and Culture and the Rossland Youth Action Network U19 Film Festival. U19 – a showcase for local youth filmmakers – takes place on Thursday evening May 5th at Rossland Summit School as part of the Rossland’s Youth Week. The gala starts at 6:30 pm, and tickets are $5 at the door.
Films will be screened for a live audience in the categories of stop motion, directing, special effects makeup and Judges Choice. In the lead up to the U19 film showcase, the Rossland Arts Council and Rossland Youth Council hosted a number of film craft workshops focusing on direction, special effects makeup, writing and ski filmmaking.
