RCMP ask for public assistance following rash of thefts in Crescent Valley

Nelson RCMP is asking the public to be on the lookout for people responsible for a rash of thefts in the area of Crescent Valley during the past few weeks.

Const. Bill Long of the Nelson RCMP said in a media release the bandits strike at anytime of the day.

“The break enter and thefts have occurred at different times of the day and mostly have resulted in a number of tools and related items being taken,” Long said.

“In one instance a generator was stolen during the day while it was being utilized roadside by a contractor in the Krestova area,” he added.

Long said police are asking residence and business owners to be vigilant and report any suspicious vehicles, persons or activities they observe in the area specially at night.
