Kaslo Sourdough Bakery is getting known for its wonderful products outside the Kootenay region.

The business was recently nominated for a NEXTY Award following its participation at the Natural Products Expo West show in Anaheim, California in March.

“My dad, Silvio and I exhibited our sourdough pastas in the world’s largest natural food show – “Natural Products Expo West’ in Anaheim, California earlier in March,” said Heidi Lettrari, General Manager of Kaslo Sourdough Bakery.

“We’ve been nominated for a NEXTY Award (top 50 of 3000 products for ‘What’s Next’ in 2016) and the voting is now open.”

Lettrari said during the next month the public will have the chance to vote for who will win this award and needs support of its local customers and public.

“We’re up against some pretty big companies in the USA . . . let’s see a Canadian Company win this award,” Lettrari said.

To vote, simply go to the Nexty website and follow the steps:

1. Click the link below
2. Vote Kaslo Sourdough (under the left column)
3. Confirm the vote after a return email is sent

Voting must be done before May 19th, 2015.

When this story was written Kaslo Sourdough Bakery was leading the voting.

But as Lettrari says, “Every vote counts.”
