Ed. Note: The following is a press release issued by Pacific Coastal:

Pacific Coastal Airlines is pleased to announce the addition of another new route to its network of more than sixty-five destinations in British Columbia effective Monday January 12, 2015.

The new Trail-Kelowna flight will operate six days a week – once every day except Saturday. It is scheduled to depart Kelowna International Airport (YLW) at 1:00 P.M. (PST) arriving at the Trail Regional Airport (YZZ) at 1:40 P.M. (PST). The aircraft will depart Trail at 2:15 P.M., arriving back in Kelowna at 2:55 P.M. One-way fare prices for the forty minute flight begin at approximately $110.00.

“The residents of Trail, Castlegar, Nelson, and the Kootenay Boundary region have been calling on us to provide this new route for years. I am excited that we are finally able to announce the addition of this new service for them,” says Pacific Coastal Airlines’ Vice-President of Commercial Services Spencer Smith.

The new route launches on the same day as Pacific Coastal’s new non-stop service between Victoria and Prince George which was announced less than a month ago. These two new routes follow on the heels of the Cranbrook – Kelowna and Campbell River – Bella Bella routes that began in late 2013.

“We’re proud of our made-in-B.C. pedigree,” says Smith. “We’ve come a long way since our humble beginning in Bella Coola nearly forty years ago and we are well-positioned for future growth opportunities as they arise,” he adds.
