The Royal BC Museum and the Rossland Museum & Discovery Centre officially invite the community to join us for a Community Conversation on Wednesday, March 6th at 5:30 pm up at the Museum.
Community conversations are an opportunity to gather with your community for a focused conversation on how a reimagined Royal BC Museum could better serve and represent people living throughout BC. Touching on topics including the Format and Location of the new RBCM site, Indigenous Reconciliation and UNDRIP Implementation, Diversity and Representation, and Inclusion and Accessibility. This is also an opportunity for a sneak peek at Rossland Museum & Discovery Centre’s own renewal plans.
Snacks and drinks will be provided. Come play a role in shaping how our heritage is communicated locally and across the province!
Seniors’ Workshop: Book Repair Basics

Calling all bibliophiles! Our next Senior Workshop is all about basic book repairs.
Join our Collections Manager in this hands-on repair workshop to learn what you can do to preserve your favourite books and repair them if needed.
Following this 2-hour workshop, you’ll take home the skills and supplies to do basic repairs and stabilization techniques to better take care of your literary collection. We’ll also be covering some of the common issues with books and what you can do to prevent them.
Have a book or two in your collection that needs some minor repairs? Fantastic! Bring it with you and do the repairs with the support and guidance of our staff. If you don’t have any books that need repairs, you can practice with some of ours!
