Upcoming events at Rossland Museum

We’re thrilled to be taking part in another Rossland Golden City Days weekend of festivities! Downtown, look for our float in the parade and check out our booth at the Fall Fair!

Here at the museum, we’ll join the celebrations with special open-by-donation days from 10 AM to 5 PM Saturday and Sunday, September 12-13th, featuring special crafts, games, scavenger hunts, and gold panning. We’ll have guided outdoor tours at 11 AM, 1 PM, and 3 PM so you can learn all about our town’s golden past… and some of the not-so-shiny bits, too!

Did you know we’re less than a fifteen-minute, almost flat (25m elevation) walk from the Arena? Take the trail from Nickleplate, and you’ll be there and back in no time!

Join us on the Museum lawn for live music and lots of fun for the whole family at our annual Arts & Culture Festival! In partnership with the Rossland IncrEdible Market, we’ll be featuring Kootenay artisans, vendors, and food trucks! The festival is an opportunity for our region’s local visual and performing artists to showcase their talents to the public as we celebrate the spectacular culture in our area with live music, artist demos, artisan booths, and more. Entry by donation!

NEW this year, we are presenting the InspiRed Mountain Community Art Competition in partnership with the Rossland Council for Arts & Culture! Sign up to submit your work to this exciting, juried art show and share your art with the community while on display at the Museum!

A bouncy house, lawn games, scavenger hunt, and crafts complete the weekend – making this the perfect event to enjoy on a September afternoon.
