Hospice: Helping people live as independently as possible, with the best quality of life, for as long as possible.  The Greater Trail Hospice Society invites you to participate in our Fall Volunteer Training.

While hospice is often associated only with end-of-life care, local volunteers support much more. Through programs like Nav-CAREGrief Support, and Friendly Visitor, hospice volunteers walk alongside people with life-limiting illness, help families navigate changing needs, and offer companionship to those who may be isolated.

Each Hospice client has a story to tell, a life adventure.  Hospice volunteer Corrie says, “I have had the honour to hear these stories and helped celebrate the memories by recognizing their significance”.    Volunteer Patti exclaims, “Every time, I find I receive far more than I give.”

More than Hospice, we are a Community of Support.  Come join our team!

Basic Volunteer Training: September 12/13 & 26/27 (two weekends)

Training costs $40 including meals and materials.

Learn how Hospice fits in the big picture of palliative care, and how to support people and their families through to the end-of-life care.
