In today’s fast-paced and often overwhelming world, the need for compassionate, hands-on healthcare has never been greater. More and more people are experiencing stress, burnout, and physical strain, and they’re looking for natural, holistic ways to reconnect with their bodies and restore well-being. At the same time, many individuals are searching for meaningful careers—work that allows them to make a real difference in others’ lives. Kootenay Columbia College is answering that call by offering its Introduction to Massage Therapy Workshop this August 1st in Nelson, BC.

This immersive weekend experience is more than just an entry requirement for the College’s September 2025 Registered Massage Therapy Program—it’s an open invitation to explore a career built on care, connection, and healing. The workshop offers a hands-on introduction to the foundational techniques of massage therapy, while also giving participants the chance to meet instructors, tour the campus, and get a true sense of what it means to step into the role of a Registered Massage Therapist. Whether someone is seriously considering a new career or is simply curious about the field, the workshop provides a welcoming and supportive environment for self-discovery.

“We’ve created this workshop to help people explore whether this is the right path for them,” says the College’s President Keshav Singla. “It’s for anyone who feels called to help others, to work with their hands, and to contribute to the health of their communities.”

Kootenay Columbia College’s RMT program is known across British Columbia for its small class sizes, personalized instruction, and commitment to practical, real-world training. With demand for massage therapists growing rapidly throughout the province, graduates are stepping into a field where their skills are not only valued, but urgently needed. The College has designed its program to prepare students to meet that demand with confidence, empathy, and
professionalism.

One recent graduate shared, “When I walked into the workshop, I wasn’t sure if this was the right path. But by the time I left, I felt inspired and certain. It changed the direction of my life.”

With the September 2025 intake already 80% full, the August workshop represents a timely opportunity for prospective students to secure their place and begin their journey. And for those simply seeking clarity, connection, or a glimpse into a healing profession, it’s a space to learn, reflect, and explore what’s possible.
