PUBLIC NOTICE BUSINESS LICENCE BYLAW NO. 2801, 2024
Notice is hereby given pursuant to section 59(2) of the Community Charter that Rossland City Council will be considering the adoption of Business Licence Bylaw No. 2801, 2024, a bylaw to replace the municipality’s current Business Licence Bylaw No. 2326, 2017 and all its amendments.
Copies of the proposed bylaw and related documents are available on the City website: https://rossland.civicweb.net/document/36185 or at City Hall.
The proposed Business Licence Bylaw No. 2801, 2024 will, if adopted:
Provide more clarity regarding the application process and requirements;
Include provisions to help regulate the operation of Short-Term Rental Accommodations (STRs) in the City of Rossland;
Update Schedule B – Fees & Licence Fees;
Update Schedule C – Fines & Penalties to include Short-Term Rental Accommodation regulations.
Council will provide an opportunity for persons who consider they are affected by the proposed Bylaw No. 2801, 2024 to make representation to Council at the Regular Meeting on: Monday, April 15, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at Rossland City Hall located at 1920 Third Avenue, Rossland, BC.
Those who wish to provide written comments on the Bylaw can submit them in the following ways:
