No one injured but much damage done during Sunday morning house fire
CFD responded to a residential structure fire the morning of May 21 in the 600 block of 9 Avenue, According to Fire Chief Sam Lattanzio. He said the call came in at 8:00 a.m., and R1, E1, L1, E2 and C1 attended along with 12 members. Upon arrival, Incident Command determined that all occupants and pets were out and accounted for. There were no reported injuries to occupants or firefighters.
Command reported the home was burning heavily on the north/east side of the structure with fire coming out from the windows and heavy smoke coming from around the eves and roof. The home sustained heavy damage.
The fire is currently under investigation; however foul play is not suspected. Occupants are receiving services from Emergency Support Services and Victim Assistance.
