Looking for seeds? Have too many seeds? On Saturday March 26th, Rossland REAL Food and the Sustainability Commission are hosting a Seed Swap in the Harry Lefevre Room at the Rossland Library from 2- 4 pm.

How does a seed swap work? “It’s pretty simple,”explains Sarah Flood from Rossland Real Food. “ Most gardeners tend to have more seeds than they could possibly use. Most commercial seed packets have more seeds than a gardener can plant in a year? At a seed swap, you can trade some of your excess seeds for someone else’s extras. Or just give them away.”

To participate in the swap, bring your seeds labelled with the type and variety preferably in an envelope. If you don’t have seeds to swap this year, no worries! Some gardeners will likely have extra seeds and will be happy to give them away along with advice on how to grow them. There will be no seed sales at this year’s seed swap.

Masks recommended but not required.
