Residents are running out of time to get their free Water Smart assessment of their lawn and garden.

A lawn and garden assessment will take about 30 minutes and will help assess your garden and lawn watering needs.

The Water Smart Ambassador can also help suggest some native and drought tolerant plants or other landscaping ideas that will help with conserving water this summer. August 18 is the last day to schedule an assessment for this summer! For booking a lawn and garden assessment, you will receive a free hose timer or rain sensor, a selection of West Coast seeds, a low-flow showerhead, and be entered to win a drip irrigation kit! For more information or to book your free lawn and garden assessment, contact your Water Smart Ambassador at water.smart@rossland.ca or 250-521-0280.

Also, head to http://www.rossland.cloud/water-use-survey/ to complete our water use survey to help the City of Rossland collect water use data. You must complete the survey by August 9th to be entered to win a rain barrel! Enter our kids (12 and under) colouring contest for a chance to win an indoor water conservation prize pack! Pick up a colouring sheet from City Hall or the Rossland Pool and submit them to City Hall at 2196 Leroi Ave before Aug. 9 to be entered to win! The prize pack includes a low flow showerhead, sink aerator, shower timer and a day pass to the Rossland Pool.
