Trail McDonald's re-opened after suspicious fire Thursday
The Trail McDonald’s is up and running again after a fire last night, according to co-owner Kathleen Zubick.
Kootenay Boundary Regional fire Rescue got the call at 5:22 p.m. and Cpt. Jason Milne said crews were on scene by 5:24 p.m.
The fire was extinguished almost immediately, and was limited to the men’s washroom.
“Obviously, we had (the restaurant) closed to clean up and get inspected, but we’re open and good to go now,” Zubick said.
The fire is being considered suspicious and is under investigation by KBRFR and the RCMP.
Zubick had nothing but high praise for the rapid, knowledgeable work of local first responders during the incident.
