Does art matter?  Of course it does.  Then, how should the importance of art be reflected in our community?  Can Rossland support a vibrant and resilient arts culture and economy? A group called “Art Matters” is working to learn how residents want decision-making to affect the arts in Rossland.

This group was formed by the Rossland Council for Arts & Culture (RCAC) to gather information and opinions to guide our community and the City in future decision-making about the arts.  Provide them with your thoughts during Rekindle – from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, they’ll be waiting for you at a table in the old Bank of Montreal building.  There will be a three-question survey form that everyone can fill out anonymously.

Whether you are a working artist, a member of an art organization, a supporter of the arts through your business or as a patron, or a person who simply enjoys seeing sculptures and murals enhance the city, all voices are welcome.

You can also share your thoughts about the arts in our community by joining the ThoughtExchange survey. Here’s the link:

You don’t have to sign up. Just log into the exchange and enter the following 9-digit code: 770-547-821.

The Art Matters group will appreciate your input however you provide it, and the whole community will benefit.
