Airport angst prompts police potty patrol
A situation which could have seen tempers heating was easily managed, thanks to the upbeat reaction of the impacted person, according to RCMP Sgt. Mike Wicentowich.
“On Feb. 28, at 5 p.m., the Trail and Greater District RCMP Detachment responded to a call for assistance from a 54-year-old female who had been accidentally locked in the washroom by an airport employee while at the Trail Regional Airport,” Wiceontowich said. “The situation triggered the airport alarm and alerted an airport employee who rescued the female before police arrived.
“The female was unharmed and was good-natured about the incident. “
Wicentowich said the police rarely get this kind of call.
“That’s a first for us, that I know of,” he said, “but we’re here help.”
