Rossland Arena Society Scores again! NDCU contributes.

The Nelson and District Credit Union has stepped up to provide more help with the upgrades needed to keep the Rossland Arena open. The local credit union announced last week its donation of $5000 to the Rossland Arena Society, which will contribute the funds toward the expensive work of keeping the arena safe to use.
Mayor Kathy Moore expressed delight with the new donation, and everyone who uses the arena or just recognizes its value to the community will share her feelings. Local credit unions help to keep money in their communities instead of siphoning it off to distant shareholders; this is one more example of how that works.
