Hwy 3A closed completely due to wildfire near Beasley Bluffs

Highway 3A between Castlegar and Nelson near Beasley Bluffs is closed in both directions due to a significant wildfire, according to KBRFR Captain Grant Tyson.
The fire is roughly .1 hectare.
Motorists are asked to find alternate routes between the two cities.
Six separate fire departments are attending, and Southeast Fire Centre has sent two helicopter bucket crews and two initial attack crews (roughly six firefighters).
No structures are threatened at this time, but power was turned off for safety reasons.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
