Trail airport to host emergency exercise
On Thursday, June 22, the City of Trail’s Regional Airport, the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary Fire Rescue, Trail RCMP, BC Ambulance Service, and Pacific Coastal Airlines will be conducting an emergency response exercise. The purpose of the exercise is to provide a training opportunity in the event of an actual emergency.
The exercise will take place at the south end of the airport, will last approximately one hour and will not interrupt scheduled flights at the airport or traffic flow on Highway 22A.
The Trail Regional Airport provides essential transportation services for the entire region and safety is of utmost importance. Collaborating with organizations and local emergency services for training exercises will help the airport provide the best possible service to everyone.
