Being on the board of the Regional District of the Central Kootenays is just about a full-time job and should be paid accordingly, an area director said Thursday.

Area B Director Tanya Wall moved that staff look into the financial implications of increasing director’s salaries by 20 per cent.

“We are working hard, and it is a time commitment, and it’s worth being paid for,” Wall told her fellow board members at the January monthly meeting.
