The Trail and Greater District RCMP is regretfully confirming that Ida Cragnolini, the 70-year-old woman who was reported missing on Sunday Nov. 20, was located Tuesday morning, deceased.

At this time there are no indications of foul play being involved in her death. The Trail RCMP is continuing to assist the BC Coroners Services with their investigation.

The Trail and Greater District RCMP and Cragnolini family are deeply appreciative of the extensive search effort which was undertaken by several West Kootenay Search and Rescue teams and community volunteers.

The search effort included SAR technicians with the South Columbia, Rossland, Castlegar, Nelson, Creston, Grand Forks, Kelowna, Penticton Cranbrook/Kimberley and Osoyoos SAR teams, in addition to numerous community volunteers who assisted over a period of two days.

The Trail and Greater District RCMP continues to provide support to the Cragnolini family.
