The month of October marks the 10th anniversary of Small Business Month in BC, a time to recognize the contributions entrepreneurs and small business owners make towards the economy and our local communities.

It is also an occasion to draw attention to the organizations and groups that help small business owners with programs and resources.

“Small Business BC is delighted that the Province of British Columbia is making it possible to provide our high quality education programming to entrepreneurs from across BC during Small Business Month at no cost,” said George Hunter, CEO, Small Business BC.

“The Province clearly understands the value of providing small business entrepreneurs with critical information, skills and best practices to ensure their success.”

To celebrate, Small Business BC, the province’s premier resource for entrepreneurs, and The Province of British Columbia have partnered to offer the Small Business Month Free Services Plan.

This program allows entrepreneurs and small business owners in BC free access to all Small Business BC seminars, webinars and Ask the Expert sessions happening between October 1, 2016 and October 31, 2016.

There are currently over 389,600 small businesses operating in BC, representing 98 per cent of all business in the province. Over 110,000 of these entrepreneurs self-identify as users of Small Business BC’s products and services.

Small Business BC encourages these entrepreneurs and ones thinking about starting or growing their business to take full advantage of the Small Business Month Free Services Plan during the month of October.

There are more than 30 seminars, webinars and Ask the Expert sessions to choose from in October, from marketing to accounting, legal advice to sales, and more.
