Rossland Council for Arts and Culture (RCAC) welcomes critically acclaimed and award winning comedian Mike Delamont and his hit one man show God Is A Scottish Drag Queen. On Friday, September 30, God, dressed in a floral power suit, comes to the RSS auditorium to skewer everything from Justin Bieber to the Pope in an unforgettable night of laughter!

God Is A Scottish Drag Queenis based on the character created by comedian Mike Delamont and playwright Jacob Richmond (Ride The Cyclone) for the hit cult cabaret Atomic Vaudeville. In 2011, Mike Delamont turned all of sketches he had written into a full hour long show and began to tour it on the Fringe Festival circuit to massive critical acclaim. Today, God Is A Scottish Drag Queen (and its sequels) is one of the highest grossing shows on the international fringe circuit. The shows feature an evening with the lord. A funny and hilarious conversation with everyone’s favourite deity about everything from religion to pop culture including Mormons, Circumcision, Star Wars, Scientology, Noah, Adam & Eve and so much more in a memorable night of comedy.

Hailed as “Hilarious! Divinely and wickedly funny!” by the Montreal Gazette, this show is the one to see this year. Get your tickets well in advance to ensure you don’t miss out! Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at Out of the Cellar in Rossland, the Charles Bailey Theatre Box Office in Trail, and online at rosslandartscouncil.com. Doors open at 7:00pm and the show starts promptly at 7:30.
