RDCK extends operation hours at Grohman Narrows Transfer Station

The RDCK is pleased to announce extended operating hours at the Grohman Narrows Transfer Station and the Ootischenia Landfill.
The extended hours are in response to the high volume of users at those facilities.
“After receiving feedback from residents requesting longer hours at these sites, the RDCK is pleased to be able provide this increase in service,” says Paul Peterson, Chair of the West Sub-region Resource Recovery Committee.
“By providing more flexibility to facility users, the RDCK believes it will help ease the growth in traffic over recent years,” says Tom Newell, Chair of the Central Sub-region Resource Recovery Committee . “This change of hours should minimize wait times for customers and increase overall efficiency.”
The new operating hours will take effect June 1st this year:
OOTISCHENIA LANDFILL
April 1st – October 31st
8:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Saturday
November 1st to March 31st
8:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Saturday
GROHMAN NARROWS TRANSFER STATION
All Year
8:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Saturday
