Council Wants Your Views: Letter from the Mayor

Hello Rosslanders!
Council invites you to share your thoughts on the City of Rossland’s spending for 2015. We have a challenge and we want your help. Council is working with Thoughtexchange as an innovative way to get public engagement.

Follow this link to share your thoughts about our financial plan:

Our challenge is to manage both rising operating costs and ensuring investments are made to maintain our infrastructure including roads, pipes in the ground, recreation facilities, and other concerns important to our community. In Rossland, we depend primarily on residential taxpayers. The way we pay for the services you want and what we’re required to provide is primarily through taxes on your residential property.

Our taxes must be competitive and provide good value for taxpayer dollars. The needs continue to grow and our infrastructure continues to erode. This is the challenge we face and we want your ideas on how to address it!

Notes about the Thoughtexchange process:
1. We estimate it will take you between 10 minutes and 30 minutes to participate.
2. Please complete this step by Thursday February 05, 2015 11:00 PM.
3. You can complete questions at your own pace, and come back to change, add or delete your answers at any time until this date.
4. This the first of three steps: Share – Star – Discover. More information can be found by clicking the link below.
5.There are no logins or passwords and you are not signing up for a product or service.

Thank you for being the engaged and informed residents that you are!
