VIDEO: Rossland's female hockey pioneers

After 100 years, the Rossland Ladies Hockey Team is finally getting some long-overdue recognition. This summer they received the Pioneer Award at the BC Hockey Hall of Fame Induction Celebration.
Marilyn Buchannon was in Penticton to accept the award on behalf of her mom, Grace Lougheed. The plaque will be displayed at the museum.
I put together this video for the event. Joyce Austin assisted my research at the Rossland Museum.
