OP/ED: I am Woman. Hear me defend men.

I really blew it. I made a terrible mistake. I made a post about a male Osprey who left his family, and said, “Men, Sigh, LOL”.
On my own Facebook page, that would be fine. In a public forum? Not so much.
Bizarrely, people were mad about the birds. Not one person pointed out how horrible that was to men. It was sexist, bigoted, and cruel, and I’m very sorry for it. No because of the birds.
I am a feminist – and until men are equal to me, my cause is empty. I don’t want supremacy, that violates equality. If I made a similar post about women, I’d have lawyers at my door right now. That’s not right.
I apologize to my readers for being so insensitive – but I also ask you to stand up for your men, not just your birds. Our men deserve that.
