We are pleased to announce this year’s Commuter Challenge is taking place June 1st-7th. Employees from over 400 different workplaces across BC will be focusing on commuting more sustainably throughout the week by walking, running, rolling, paddling, taking transit, carpooling, or working from home to challenge themselves and win prizes.

The Commuter Challenge, a national program run provincially by Better Environmentally Sound Transportation (BEST), has been taking place in BC since 1996. Last year, Victoria ranked the highest in participation for cities of its size nationally, and BC came in second for number of organizations taking part behind Manitoba. Taking place the week after Bike to Work Week, and during Clean Air Day on June 4th, participants are able to continue with the theme of more sustainable and active commuting.

Information on results and winners is expected to be released following the Commuter Challenge Wrap-Up party June 24th. For more information: commuterchallengebc.ca
