This notice is to inform City of Trail residents that crews will be operating a drilling rig at Rotary Park & Columbia and McQuarrie Street for three days starting Monday, Jan. 13. Crews will be onsite from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Noise and vibrations can be expected during this time, and minor traffic delays can be expected at Columbia and McQuarrie Street. Traffic control personnel will be on location to direct motorists.

The drilling rig will drill a total of six holes, approximately 30 metres deep, in order to take geotechnical samples from the ground. The results from this testing will help engineers prepare the anchors and piers for the new pedestrian/pipeline bridge that will be installed later this year.

If you have any questions or concerns please contact Warren Proulx, the City’s Engineering Technician, at 250-364-0807.

We apologize for the inconvenience and we thank you for your patience.
