RCMP ask for public assistance into October 2013 accident

Nelson RCMP is asking for public assistance regarding an accident in October of 2013.

The single vehicle collision occurred at 6:30 a.m. (Tuesday) October 15, 2013 at the 1000 block of Highway 3A on the North Shore.

The collision involved a white pickup truck that rolled into the westbound ditch.

The RCMP is asking for anyone that witnessed this vehicle driving prior to the collision or at the time of the collision to call Cst Van Horne of the Nelson RCMP Detachment at 250-352-2156.

Vandals smash vehicle windows at Granite Park & Ride

Nelson RCMP is on the lookout for vandals that smashed windows of two vehicles left at the Granite Road Park and Ride sometime during the Friday.

RCMP Constable Colleen Lowing said in a statement the vandalism happened between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. (January 3).

“Someone smashed the windows out of two vehicles parked at the Park and Ride by Granite road, just outside Nelson,” said Cst. Lowing,

“It does not appear that anything was taken from the vehicles, and that the motive was purely for property damage.
