Smokies, Wolverines exchange veterans

The Trail Smoke Eaters have completed a trade with the Whitecourt Wolverines of the Alberta Junior Hockey League, acquiring defenseman Sean Davies (95) in exchange for forward Brodyn Nielsen (94).
Davies, a native of Drumheller, Alberta, posted 1 goal and 2 points in 5 appearances with Whitecourt this season. In 104 career AJHL regular-season and playoff games with Whitecourt and the Olds Grizzlys, the 6’1” Davies has recorded a total of 7 goals, 18 points and 45 penalty minutes.
Nielsen, from Vancouver, put up two assists in nine games with the Smoke Eaters this season after being acquired in a mid-summer deal from the Chilliwack Chiefs.
The Smoke Eaters would like to thank Brodyn Nielsen for his contributions to the organization and welcome Sean Davies to Trail.
