Killjoys, Roller Girls post wins as WKRD concludes regular season

The Nelson Killjoys secured a place in the Mountain Mayhem 4 by outlasting Dam City Rollers Friday during the final West Kootenay Roller Derby Doubleheader of the regular season at the Selkirk College Gymnasium.
The Killjoys now move to 3-0 on the season with an impressive 222-176 victory over the host Dam City Rollers.
In the other contest, the Rossland/Trail Roller Girls dumped the Slocan Valley Vendettas 201-141.
The Roller Girls move into second-place tie with idle Babes of Brutality, each with identical 2-2 records.
The top four teams now advance to the Rossland Arena for Mountain Mayhem 4 at 3 p.m.
The top place Killjoys meet the second place finisher while three-and-four battle it out for the consolation prize.
