The competition feels the rays' sting...

The Stingrays have completed yet another great meet! There were lots of best times this weekend as Shilene Kennedy took 13 seconds off her time in the 100 meter breastroke  and shaved 5 seconds in her 50 freestyle (and no DQ’s).

 

Johnny Hodgekins  scored a provincial qualifying time in 50 back while James  Roberts took 10 seconds off in the 100 backstroke. Meanwhile, TJ Worsley- swam 100 backstroke in 8 seconds less than his previous best. TJ also swam a PB (personal best time) in the free relay.

 

Congratulations to our Mile Relay team who swam a mile in 18:36.8 and placed second out of all the clubs in our region! The Mile Relay included Melissa Pitman, Logan Blair, Nicole Merry, TJ Worsley, Georgia Merry, Josh Ballarin, Kayla Fraser and elijah Grebe. Elijah won a best time on his last 50 freestyle of the relay.

 

Simon Impey won his first medal at his second swim meet ever in a tie for 2nd in the division 1 boys category. Other aggregate medals awarded this weekend went to Logan Blair who placed 3rd and Diego Greenwood who placed 2nd in division 4 boys, TJ Worsley placed 3rd and Elijah Grebe tied for 1st in division 5 boys. Samantha Theobald and Sam Grebe placed 2nd in the women’s divisions 6 and 8 categories respectively.
