The entire community is invited to Waneta Expansion Project Community Day

The public is welcome to attend the Community Day, Sunday (June 23) at the 335 Mega Watt Waneta Expansion Project.
Festivities include live music, barbecue and refreshments, kids activities and tours of the construction site.
However, people wanting a tour must pre-register by calling 250-304-6037 due to space limitations and wear closed-toe, flat footwear.
Tours are open to children accompanied by an adult. Children must be 10 and older and four-feet tall.
Tours are also open to seniors and people with mobility concerns.
The Community Day is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Waneta Expansion Project on Highway 22 south of Trail near the Waneta Border Crossing.
