Nationally famous poet to perform at RSS

The Rossland Interact Club and RSS are thrilled to announce that Shane Koyczan, the internationally acclaimed spoken word poet, willbe performing at RSS on May 29 at 7pm! You may recognize him from the opening ceremonies of the Vancouver Olympics where he wowed the audience with his piece “We Are More.” If you haven’t seen the video of his performance of “Just One Day”, an animation of his anti-bullying poem that has gone viral, check it out.
Tickets are available at the Grind Cafe, from Marilyn Nelson or from a Rossland Interact Club member. Adult tickets are $20, Student $15 and at the door $25. All of the proceeds will be going to help the West Kootenay Friends of Refugees bring two refugee families from Burma.
