Someone in Castlegar – or at least someone who shops in Castlegar – may not realize they’re $74,434.70 richer.

BC Lottery Corporation communication officer Kim Steibart said the winning ticket sold in Castlegaar (one of 20 across the country to win this amount) for the April 13 draw has not yet been claimed.

She said there’s a huge variance in the amount of time it takes people to bring their winning tickets in.

“It totally depends – they have up to 52 weekes to claim,” she said. “It’s normal for it to take a bit of time.”
