Kimberley residents shocked after drive by shooting in Bavarian City

RCMP have two people in custody after the quiet Bavarian town of Kimberley got a taste of life in the big city witih a shooting Thursday (April 4).

The incident happened at approximately 11 p.m. Thursday when RCMP received a report of shot fired at a residence in a drive-by shooting that occurred on Archibald Street in Kimberley.

A vague vehicle description was obtained; extensive patrols were conducted without success.

However at approximately 1 a.m. Friday (April 5) a second report was received from the same address.

Officers located the suspect vehicle and arrested two males.

Several firearms related charges are pending.

Two shots were fired at the residence from a shotgun.

The investigation is ongoing with the General Investigation Section, Forensic Identification and Police Dog Services are assisting the Kimberley RCMP.
