It’s been almost a week and still police have nothing new to report after a man’s body was found near the mouth of Cottonwood Creek in Nelson.

The man’s body was found lying supine in the shallow waters of Cottonwood Creek Saturday (March 23) in the morning by a passing worker.

Nelson Police immediately cordoned off the area to begin the investigation into the suspicious death.

However, after a week nothing has been determined as police await final autopsy results before determining its next move.

Foul play has yet to be ruled out in the death of the man, who recently moved into the area, believed to be in his late 20s.

The B.C. Corner is also involved in the investigation.
