Wildcats finish out of the medals at provincial volleyball championships
Wildcat teams from Mount Sentinel finished well down the pack at the respective B.C. High School Volleyball Championships.
The girls took 11th spot at the B.C. High School A Volleyball tournament Saturday in Prince George.
The Cats finished third in pool play behind Cedar and Houston Christian and could not get on a roll during the playoff round.
Meanwhile, in Kelowna, the boys defeated Smithers to grab 13th spot in the 16-team B.C. High School AA Championship at the UBC Okanagan gymnasium.
Mount Sentinel won the consolation contest 2-0 (25-20, 25-16).
The other Kootenay team, Selkirk Storm of Kimberley lost to Okanagan Mission in the ninth-tenth contest.
MEI of Abbotsford defeated College Heights to capture the overall title.
Kelowna Christian defeated Highroad Academy of Chilliwack to win the A girls title.
