On Friday July 22nd visit the Christina Living Arts Centre and hear the “Not Yet” duo Laura Jean and Gary perform free thanks to the Christina Lake Arts and Artisan Society. Check out the new Chamber of Commerce gift shop (cool T-shirts) and bid on some art at the Silent Auction. This event starts at 7pm.

Enter a draw to win a golf package for two at the Golf Club, a stay at the New Horizon Motel and dinner at Cascade House Restaurant. Children can enter a draw for an I-Pod Nano. Go to the Community Futures “Welcome Tent” to enter.

On Saturday July 23rd head over to the Christina Lake Community Hall for the Pancake Breakfast (eggs & sausage too) starting at 9 am, by donation. A Flea Market, Book Sale and live demonstrations by local artisans will make the hall so colorful alongside the children’s art exhibit! You can see people making glass beads, wood carvings, rope, masks, fish flies and more between 11-2 pm while snacking on Rotary Club’s Kettle Corn. Lunch and ice-cream available too!

Highlight of the day; White Star Lady from 3-4:15 pm, a one-women musical about the life and adventures Ms. Violet Jessop. She was aboard all three of the ill-fated sister ships: RMS Olympic, RMS Titanic, and HMHS Britannic. The personal stories of these incidents are all documented in this unique and engaging musical production. By donation.

Get your seat for Les Folles Jambettes at 5 pm sharp. The Fire Department will serve BBQ burgers, by donation. The Community Hall Association will serve drinks at the bar. You can support this community picnic, by arriving with your best tray of cupcakes or a delicious salad.

Enjoy the Hip Sisters Middle Eastern dance, tunes by Steve and Doreen, dance music by Dave Jackson and see the light display by the Illuminosity Fire Spinners to end the evening! Events are free so come out and celebrate our community.
