Nelson Minor Hockey Rep teams begin the road to the March provincial tournament this weekend in the friendly confines of the NDCC Arena.

The Bantam Reps play host to Castlegar Friday at 6 p.m. in the first game of the first-team-to-four-points series.

The Reps, finishing the season on top of the league with a 10-2 record, have owned the Sunflower City squad of late, winning four of six games since the New Year.

Game two is set for Castlegar with game three, if necessary, back in Nelson for a 12:15 puck drop at the NDCC Arena.

The series winner advances to the Tier III provincial tournament in Smithers.

Meanwhile, the Peewee Leafs open the first-team-to-four-points series Saturday at home to Rossland/Trail. Game time is 12:45 p.m. in the NDCC Arena.

Nelson has had some pretty good success against the Silver City squad, winning the last game between the two teams.

Game two is set for Trail Saturday, February 19 with game three, if necessary, Sunday, February 20 in Nelson.

The winner advances to the Tier II provincial in Aldergrove.

The Castlegar/Nelson Midget Reps host Rossland/Trail/Beaver Valley in Tier II playoffs Tuesday, February 22 at 5 p.m. in the NDCC Arena.
