The Rossland Public Library  Summer Reading Club program will officially launch July 7th and will continue up to August 27th. This year’s theme is “Reading Rocks!”

The Summer Reading Club (SRC) is a non-profit, provincial program made available to the youth of our communities free each summer reaching over 80,000 young British Columbians through our local libraries. Using mediums of story, song, craft and game, our goal is to help develop and maintain strong literacy skills and encourages lifelong learning within our youth through daily or regular reading over the summer months.

Parents can sign up their children at the Rossland Public Library. Once they are signed up, there is a permission form that needs to be filled out. On the first day, the children will receive a bookmark and reading log, which they will fill out through out the program.

Parents and their children can also check out the Summer Reading Club’s website.
