RCMP request public help in search for missing Castlegar woman

The Castlegar RCMP are asking the public to please be on the look out for an  80-year-old female that is overdue on her travels to Kelowna, BC.

Mary Chernoff, a local Castlegar resident, departed Castlegar this afternoon on Feb. 6, and was expected to arrive in Kelowna at 6 p.m.

She is driving a purple/pink colored 1993 Toyota Corolla (four-door) vehicle bearing B.C. licence plate 823 KTM.

Chernoff is described as 5′ 6″, 130 lbs, hazel eyes, short straight white hair and has a hump on her back. She wears eyeglasses.

Should you come across this vehicle or Mrs. Chernoff, please ask her to phone her family immediately. Please notify the Castlegar RCMP at 250-365-7721.
