The world of indie publishing (also called self-publishing) can seem overwhelming. Print or e-Book? Webpage or blog? And what about social media marketing? Fortunately, there’s help.

Award winning indie author Kristene Perron has done it all, and she’ll share her knowledge in a special two-day workshop November 15 and 16 at Oxygen Art Centre. A practical step-by-step guide to self-publishing, the workshop also deals with use of social media and the internet to build a successful writing career and increase sales.

“The game has really changed,” says Perron. “Digital publishing has opened so many doors for writers. Even writers who choose a traditional publishing route will benefit from the lessons of indie publishing and marketing.”

Perron stresses that the workshop will be user-friendly, so even writers with little to no knowledge of the internet will come away with valuable skills. Details and registration are available at www.oxygenartcentre.org or by calling 250-352-2821. Questions about the workshop can be directed to Perron at info@warpworld.ca
