The great thing about democracy is the freedom and ability to voice one's opinion. Sometimes that opinion is not appreciated by others as it flies in the face of what they perceive as right; and subsequently people feel threatened. The potential development between Pinewood and Happy Valley is a case in point.

It’s common practice for newspapers to endorse candidates during election season. And we considered doing just that. However, in a small town with only one newspaper, we decided that such a course of action would be unfair. Therefore, unless candidates cross specific moral/ethical lines, expect the Telegraph to remain editorially neutral this election season.

However, in a small town with only one newspaper, we decided that such a course of action would be unfair.
